Description
A watching brief was conducted during the excavation of five geotechnical test pits, dug to inform the proposed construction of a new school sports centre, at Conduit Road, Stamford. A sequence of natural clay layers was exposed but no archaeological features or finds were encountered, likely because of previous landscaping of the site. {1}{2}
