Description
TF 02 SW 6/82 CORBY GLEN CHURCH STREET (south side) The Old Smithy G.V. II House. C17 with C19 alterations. Coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, pantile roof having raised stone coped gables. Single red brick C19 gable stack and base of C17 axial stack with brick top. Originally lobby entry. 2 storey originally 3 bay front having blocked central doorway flanked by single 2 light glazing bar casements with deep ashlar lintels. To first floor are 2 similar windows to eaves. Interior retains large beams and an inglenook fireplace with bressumer, and a stone lined small cupboard with graffito of a figure.
